Idaho Opal Double Rope Ring. We created this ring in sterling silver with a rhodium plating for an anti-tarnish finish. The 5mm opal triplet is set in 4 prongs nestled between 2 rope textured bands. Each Idaho opal is unique in its own way. The variety of colors include all colors of the rainbow - and often change colors as you view it from different angles. The ring you recieve may vary in color from the ring pictured.
Opals fall between a 5.5-6.5 on the Mohs Hardness Scale. These opals are triplets with a basalt back and quartz cap giving the finished product a hardness of 7 but still considered delicate due to the glue factor.
